Having completed my degree in ceramics at UWIC in Cardiff I came to Bridge Pottery to do a year long apprenticeship with Micki which I have now compleated. I am now staying on working with Micki, making my own pots and running evening courses.

 

As well as the evening group session I also offer individual tuition and can arrange gift vouchers for Christmas!

 

5 week throwing course with Fleen Doran

Cost of course is £92

Reservations for this course can be made with the payment of £50 deposit. The remaining £42 can be paid at the first session.

This course is suitable for beginners wanting to develop skills on the pottery wheel. I will be offering a comprehensive introduction to the basic techniques of throwing and will also cover other aspects of wheel thrown work such as clay preparation, joining, handle making and turning.

Students will have the opportunity of working on the continental kick wheel as well using the electric wheel. The course will be delivered through demonstrations, practice, discussion and reflection and will respond to the needs of the group. The course is limited to a small group of five students, which will allow for individual tuition.

 

Students will have the oppertunity to have pots fired in a gas kiln at an extra cost.
