This will be a three day course specifically for students wishing to learn techniques for throwing larger pots. After our successful Large Pot Making Course in 2011, Joanna Howells and I will be running this course together again. There will be a maximum of seven students so that attentive individual tuition will be assured.

 

Joanna Howells is an experienced large pot maker, using techniques learned from Kevin Crowe, enabling large pots to be thrown without great effort and strength. I have found this to be true and very liberating!

 

Accommodation
For this course I have provisionally booked the Lodge Basecamp, a National Trust bunk house situated on the edge of Whitford Burrows. It offers very modestly priced accommodation with ten bunk beds, a well equipped kitchen, showers and a sitting room with wood stove. It is also located minutes from the sea and within easy walking distance of Bridge Pottery.

To secure our use of the lodge I need to confirm numbers well in advance, so please let me know as soon as possible if you wish to stay there.because there is plenty of room at the bunk house it would be easily be possible to combine the course with a bit of a holiday with friends or family !
